Pit Wagner loves to seize and interpret subjects that require a quick understanding of the situation.

He captures the instant on paper, from street life and animals in motion, to courtroom drawings and moving subjects in general. He draws live in rehearsals, translating sound into pictures.

Bamboo, quill and reed pens, China inks, washed and combined with watercolors are his main tools for illustration. Working on the go, sketches from abroad find their way into travelogues. Drawing is storytelling.

Intaglio, woodcut and mixed techniques allow him limitless experiments and means of expression in printmaking.

Studies: Graphic design and illustration at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam from 1976 to 79.

Born in Luxembourg 1954
